Why is Security so important?

Physical security is important because a physical attack is perhaps the most fundamental kind of attack.

For the last 3000 years of human history, security has been one of the most frequently discussed topics in the world. But why is security so important?

Well it is hard to overstate because when discussing security you need to acknowledge risk, the risk is as simple as Life or Death, both physical, financial and electronically.
