The end-game for Labor and the greens as national and local parties seems very obvious to me. If you expand the bureaucratic class and you expand the dependent class, you can put together a permanent electoral majority.
In political terms, a welfare cheque is a two for one, you're assuring yourself of the votes of both the welfare recipient and of the bureaucracy required to process their welfare.
The massive support and foreign investment they have encouraged from other (authoritarian) countries such as China into our universities administration seems, to a critical thinker such as myself, to be a transparent attempt to assert their ideology and to deter the only vaccination available to their malevolence, “wisdom”.
As always I am disappointed by the behaviours but, it is important to understand the animal in order to deal with it effectively.
